Week of Fitness 1/13-1/19/

I hope you are all enjoying your weekend! This is a three-day weekend for Ryan and I, so I am excited to be off tomorrow too! I wanted to stop by quickly and share my fitness for this past week. This was week 3 of marathon training.

Monday: 5.5 miles. This was supposed to be 6, but I had to end the run early so I could come home and get ready for work.

Tuesday: this HIIT workout that I have pinned on my HIIT board on Pinterest.Β Also, I did the medicine ball ab attack from Elise at 9tofit.

Wednesday: Four mile intervals. After the first mile I walked for a minute before starting my second mile. After the second and third mile I walked for two minutes before starting my next mile.

Thursday: 5 mile run plus Heather’s New Year New You Upper Body Workout

Friday: yoga from doyogawithme.com

Saturday: 13 miles

Sunday: This is rest day, but I might try to do another yoga video from doyogawithme and really concentrate on stretching my legs after my run yesterday.

I am really happy with how my marathon training is going, and I hope everything keeps going great!

Questions:

1. What was your favorite workout this week?

2. Are you off work tomorrow?

3. What are you looking forward to this week?Β

  1. I’m glad your training is going so well! I’m curious, what training plan are you going by? I always find it interesting to hear about different people’s marathon training plans…I’m defining rely not trying to “compare” but I saw that you said you’re going into week 4 of your training and did 13 miles this week.
I’m going into week 6 of my training and today is my long run day at 10 miles. Everything is going great for me so far, but I do like to stay educated about what other training plans are out there…in case anything goes awry.

    1. I love hearing about other people’s plans too. I actually made up my own plan, and since I was already running distances around 9 miles, I started my training with my runs being a little longer.

  2. So happy to hear the training is going well! You totally inspire me and I am finally getting a run in today… hoping the knee feels okay πŸ™‚ My favorite workout this week was definitely Crossfit on Friday. Have a wonderful Sunday and long weekend — no long weekend for us Canadians! xo

    1. You have no idea how happy you made me when you said I inspired you to run. πŸ™‚ I hope your knee was okay! I wish I could do cross fit; I think I would love it! It’s too expensive for us right now, but maybe someday! πŸ™‚

    1. Right now I haven’t done anything special to refuel after my longer runs, besides eat when I’m hungry, but if I start to do something different I will let you know. πŸ™‚ I just don’t let myself feel bad if I eat more than normal because it’s totally natural to be hungrier after those long runs.
